Vadhavan will significantly enhance cargo handling capacity. By 2035, the port aims to process nearly 300 million tonnes of cargo annually, including 15 million TEU, with ambitions to grow further by 2040. Emphasizing environmental sustainability, the project includes extensive reclamation and breakwater construction, aligning with India’s broader infrastructure goals and strengthening its global trade connectivity.
